The DFG SPP 1736 “Algorithms for Big Data” announces a workshop on memory-efficient algorithms and their applications at Kiel University.

The representative areas include all kind of algorithmic problems addressing big data problems, e.g. external memory, streaming, compressing, searching, indexing and mining, but also their applications in computational biology and bioinformatics.

The workshop aims to provide a forum for exchange of ideas between algorithm designers and biologist in marine and life science.
